New Mexico State Fair

Sophia riding the pony at NM State Fair, 2006. Sophia riding the tractor too. Sophia riding the pony at NM State Fair 2007. She didn't do much, but Tessa was there in 2007 too!

September means back to school and back to the state fair! We went last Sunday and saw lots of animals, including some cows getting hair cuts, a few sheep that were waiting to be sheared, and an entire room full of rabbits. We watched an African acrobat show, where they balanced on stacked chairs and did flips and jumps. Then we watched a Pee Wee Stampede, where Sophia was one of the stars of the show! Sophia also rode a pony and plenty of other rides. We all tried some of the food; a turkey leg, funnel cake fries, a corndog (not for me, thanks!), a caramel apple, and some homemade lemonade! It was a long fun day, and there were still many more things to see and do. However, Tessa was ok with missing the morning nap but was definitely ready for an afternoon nap. Not to mention the Broncos were playing at 2pm and SOMEONE thought we should be home by then to watch the game.

We took so many pictures I thought another slideshow would be best, but couldn't resist adding some pictures from our previous two trips to the NM State Fair.
