Tessa turned five, after endless amounts of waiting ever since Sophia turned eight in April. Sadly, her day didn't turn out as she had hoped. Her toe was still hurting her from a few days earlier (see previous post) so we canceled our outing to a fun indoor play area. It just didn't make sense to take her there when she could barely hobble around the house. Also, it was pouring rain and Daddy had to work that afternoon, neither of which improved her spirits. So, we played for awhile, opened some presents, and ended up having a movie in the sitting room with take out food and ice cream with a candle in it afterwards! Not much excitement, but it cheered her up a lot!

| Tessa is sitting on the shell decoration I made for her party, with her presents all around her! |
| We had to take a photo of the toe! Boo! |
| Sophia is showing Tessa all of the pictures and writing on the card she made. |
| Then Sophia read the card to her. |
| This is a princess cup that Sophia chose for Tessa. |
| Tessa opened the card and bracelet from Tutu. |
| She loves how the card can pop-up. |
| She is excited about a new mermaid toy. |
| And Hello Kitty things! |
| Sophia is excited for Tessa! |
| As much as I tried to discourage it, the girl loves Barbie! |
| She is very excited over the new books! |
| What is this big heavy thing? |
A Hello Kitty scooter! And that is Bella the Bunny behind her! Finally, she has her own giant stuffed animal and doesn't need to try to steal borrow her sister's tiger anymore. |
| Yum! Eating actual food on trays in the sitting room is a special treat! |
| Sophia enjoys her food also. |
| A kiss for Daddy before work. |
| Blow out the candle before the ice cream melts! |
| Mmm, delicious! |
Happy birthday to Tessa! Hopefully the party will make up for your hurt toe!
