For half term break, we met up with some friends at
West Stow Anglo Saxon Village. It is an archaeological site with a recreation of a village, a museum, and a playground. Unfortunately, a few minutes into arriving at the village area, Tessa dropped a very heavy wooden bench onto her toe, which put quite a damper on our day. She wanted to go home, but we had just arrived, driven the 25 minutes to get there, had already paid to get in, hadn't seen anything yet, had a picnic lunch packed, and everyone else would have been very disappointed. So I encouraged her to wait it out. I carried her around for awhile, then we found a place to take a break, take her show off and put some ice on it. She got a bit better as the day went on, but still had a very sore toe for days afterwards!
