Woburn day 2, Safari Park bound!

Good morning sleepy heads!

Breakfast in bed part 1! (cereal, fruit, milk, and juice- my idea of breakfast)

Breakfast in bed part 2!  (Traditional British breakfast- grilled tomato, mushrooms, rashers/bacon, potato hash brown, and poached egg, and toast.  Daddy ordered enough food for 10 little girls!)

Ready to roll!

We checked out a few shops, in hopes of buying water bottles for less than safari park prices!

Stop!  Cattle crossing at the safari park!

One thing about the safari park is that we were told to keep our windows absolutely all the way up at all times and they kept playing messages over a loudspeaker that we could almost hear, but not quite.  I wondered if I rolled the windows down, we would hear, "If you can hear this message, your windows must not be rolled up properly!  Do so immediately!"

Pride rock

Yes, he did just pick something off of his head and eat it...he's a monkey!

Soooo glad the monkeys didn't mess with our car!

Yawn!

Why do giraffes have such long necks?  To reach the grass because their legs are so long!

Alice the camel has no humps!  So Alice is a horse?!

Sophia, Tessa, and some elephants made from twigs!

One little monkey,

two little monkeys!

Loud peacock

Finally, calmed down.

Sophia, or maybe some kind of a monkey, upside down in a tree.

Sophia is discussing with me whether she really wants to go down this VERY steep slide.  It looked like great fun, until she climbed up there!

Tessa likes nice, gentle slides!

Sophia eventually (in green, on left) did try this slide, over and over again!

There she goes!

Another fun slide.
Oh the aim of our patrol, is a question rather droll...

For to march and drill, over field and hill, is a military goal!  Is a military goal!

Psst, I'm up here!

Extremely well fed goats.

Sophia and Chuckolate are steering/paddling a swan boat.

Tessa and I get to lounge in the back.

But she wants to be up front too, without all the work!

Ahhh, sunshine!  Where'd that come from?!

Happy captain!

Sophia, Daddy and Tessa are safely back on dry land.

Time to feed some birds!

They LOVED it!  (Sophia and Tessa, I'm sure the birds are rather bored).

VERY happy faces....

while the bird sits on her wrist.

Hmm, slightly unsure face as the bird creeps up her arm a little.

Definitely unhappy face as the bird creeps up a bit more.

By the time it was up to her shoulder, she was quite unhappy but Daddy swooped in and rescued her!

The little bird just wanted to keep climbing up!

Check out the baby joey in the kangaroo mama's pouch.

Tada...benches!

The kangaroo in the middle has an albino baby poking out.

There's another albino kangaroo!

Last stop before we leave, ice cream!

Whee delicioso! (That's what she used to think Dora said- not muy delicioso!)

On the road again...bye bye deer!

I liked this house.

This one too.  I suppose I take a lot of pictures of houses, especially with thatched roofs.

Tessa was out like a light after less than 10 minutes in the car!

Sophia usually doesn't sleep in the car, but after two busy days...she was wiped out too!

The Inn at Woburn

After a lot of walking and exploring, we spent an hour or so relaxing, reading, and exploring the hotel room.  Then we wandered across the street for dinner.

Sophia took our picture while I read a book to Tessa.

Then Tessa and I took another photo of us posing.

This is Sophia and Tessa's bed.

What a surprise!  She is reading one of the Harry Potter books!

Tessa really liked the decor, especially this pillow.

Chuckolate checks out the menus and dinner options.

Then the girls discovered that they could jump from the chair onto the soft, fluffy bed!

I gave them a few tries each, before stopping them.

It made for some cool photos!

This is the view out of our window.

This is the street outside of the hotel.

On the right side of the photo is Loch Fyne, the seafood restaurant we decided on for dinner.

A church

Tessa and Daddy, while waiting for squid, mussels, fish, and other yummy seafood!
