The base Arts & Crafts center had a Halloween themed craft day, so I decided to sign us up! It was free and I wasn't expecting very much, but it was really fun for the girls and they made several fun things.

First they painted a ceramic figure. Sophia picked a set of three pumpkins with a little mouse. Painting four different pieces took a long time, so she shared hers and allowed her Dad to paint one pumpkin and her sister to paint another. Tessa chose a butterfly for her piece and painted it yellow and pink. She obviously wasn't concerned about the Halloween theme!

Then, they made a pumpkin picture by putting glue into a pumpkin shaped outline and then placing wool yarn over the glue to crate the pumpkin. It was a very cute idea, but I ended up doing most of Tessa's as it was a little difficult for her. Sophia wanted me to do hers as well, but she did a terrific job on her own, after a bit of encouragement.
Finally, they decorated a hat like a bird. They added googly eyes, a beak, and some colourful feathers at the back!
